Supportive Counseling Services in Michigan
Unbridled Transformations Christian Counseling offers counseling services in Michigan with a holistic approach to therapy, considering each client as a complete person. Rather than focusing only on isolated symptoms, our counseling looks at the whole person—mind, body, and spirit—and how each part is connected.
Anxiety
Anxiety disorders are among the most common mental health concerns in the United States. In fact, anxiety disorders affect over 40 million U.S. adults (19.1%) annually and nearly 1 in 3 adults during their lifetime.
The good thing is, you do not have to suffer alone. The goal is to help clients reduce and recover from anxiety so they can live the life God intended.
Depression
Depression is a treatable condition that affects how a person thinks, feels, behaves, and functions. Whether depression rarely appears or feels like a frequent unwelcome visitor, biblically based clinical counseling can help decrease symptoms and improve mood and quality of life.
If you feel discouraged, sad, hopeless, unmotivated, disconnected from things you once enjoyed, or unlike yourself, counseling can help you take the next step.
Trauma
Trauma is our personal intersection with the brokenness of this world. Recovery is our personal intersection with the redemptive heart of God. Trauma-informed care shifts the focus from "what is wrong with you?" to "what happened to you?" It is a framework used in therapy that centers on safety, transparency, and empowerment. This approach helps prevent re-traumatization and supports healing.
Women’s Issues
Women of all ages face unique and challenging situations throughout life. Whether you are a working mother managing daily responsibilities or a senior navigating life transitions, compassionate counseling support is available.
Teen and College Student Issues
The teen and college years can be some of the most difficult and formative years of life. Janet has worked with extraordinary young people who are intelligent, sensitive, and sometimes troubled.
An open, trusting relationship with a therapist who listens attentively and offers mutual respect can make a meaningful difference. Counseling can help guide teens and college students through challenges, opportunities, and the transition into adulthood.
Marriage Counseling
Couples often fall into patterns of hiding feelings, building resentment, or struggling with conflict. Over time, peace, safety, intimacy, and contentment may weaken.
Marriage counseling can help couples address important questions:
Marriage counseling can help couples address important questions:
- Are you meeting your partner’s reasonable needs?
- Do conflicts threaten to derail your relationship?
- Are you fighting fair?
- Do you have a negative attitude toward your spouse?
- Would support help improve your marriage?
These sessions can help you build the skills needed to create the marriage God intended for you and your spouse to enjoy.
ADD/ADHD (Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder)
If you have been diagnosed with ADD or ADHD—or believe you may struggle with concentration, follow-through, or completing tasks—support is available. Our counselor has worked with ADD/ADHD clients since 1998 and has been invited to speak as an expert on the subject numerous times. Together, we can set a plan in motion that can profoundly change your life.
Equine-Assisted Psychotherapy
In-person Equine-Assisted Psychotherapy sessions are offered at a horse farm in Fowlerville, Michigan, using the EAGALA Model. This hands-on approach allows clients to reflect, project, make connections, and find their own solutions.
All work is done on the ground with horses, supported by a licensed mental health professional and a qualified equine specialist.
